Sale of alcohol and tobacco

The Canton of Zurich's centers for the prevention of addiction offer support for the sales and service staff by providing information as to the handling of juveniles eager to buy such products. Consistent training of the sales and service staff matters. On behalf of the Department of Health, the Canton of Zurich's centers for the prevention of addiction have therefore drafted a leaflet directed at services and sales, giving tips for daily use and listing the most important rules for shops and catering businesses.

How to avoid tooth damage:

  • Eat and drink only sugar-free food and drinks between meals. Fresh fruit, raw vegetables and tap water are recommended.
  • Brush your teeth after meals with fluoride toothpaste.
  • Have your teeth checked once a year by a dentist or a dental hygienist.
